@tissatussa PST's give the engine an average insight of where pieces should approximately be on the board; they are rules of thumb. Knights in the middle, king in the corner...

This could very well be faster; an XOR operation is faster than an array lookup, all other things being equal. I'll leave this issue open so I can keep this...

You can follow the [build guide here](https://github.com/cutechess/cutechess/wiki/Building-from-source). It works. If you want to build against QT6 instead of QT5 (at least, on Debian 13), you need to install these packages...
Obviously package names in a 3 year old version of Ubuntu can be different than the package names in a version of Debian that will be released next week.
