Would totally love this PR! I'm missing this today with my puppet and fabric management of the environment here home.
I have the same issue today. The only thing I found on the Deepstack server is that the / mount point is in read only mode. Try to remount it...
rebooting the Deepstack server so the / mount point got back rw instead of ro, solved my problems.

Delete and add new camera configurations, that solved the problem for me at least.
This is more of a question then an issue.
