unable to overwrite existing files

I have a backup I extracted because I hit the password bug I want to recreate it by uploading all the files into an empty backup but I need to...

uploading files created a new backup instead of updating old one

now I have an extra backup with what appears to be the date appended to it: 4b4ca2df2a3f7da7177e3ab11d5509cdc8a0053d-20200706-082644: Unreadable backup Any idea what went wrong?
