Confirmed, I can repro this bug. When you chose the Category and at the same time the Merchant scan is done, then the bug happened.

By adding some custom categories, I can reproduce this issue. And I have provided a [proposal](https://github.com/Expensify/App/issues/52936#issuecomment-2499691671) to resolve this issue.
