Yeah, we'd need to store different (absolute numbers instead of ratios) and additional (unreviewed) data.

It turns out we can collect the relevant data on each page load fast enough. Ne need for cron jobs and storing data in the database. I'll paste the script...
Not just when the content is copied, the fields should always "autogrow", i.e. even when content is manually entered or already exists as reported in #2406.
See also #2100, which is (at least partially) in conflict with this issue.
One way to fix this would be to fetch the Contact Person data on page load. Another approach is to make the field disabled while loading, and show a loading...
