In any case, not a blocker for Nicotine+ 3.3.0, since there's a workaround.
Looks like GTK 3 supported this, but it was lost in GTK 4. I have a workaround ready for Nicotine+, but I'll report this issue upstream too.

Rescanning is supposed to happen when you press OK after making changes to the shares, but judging by your other bug report, it doesn't seem to be working for you...
Closing, as rescanning should be automatic when closing the preferences dialog.
