Thanks for reporting @slivne - Kafka connector should support Avro, simple JSON, or string format - not sure about nested JSON. don't think we included that in the initial requirement...

@tomer-sandler do think anything is wrong with the tool - just needs better help documentation. Also, the tool generally should be more verbose and print the details of the error...
