Isn't the scraping resolution somewhat responsible for the ability of the metric-server to scale to 5k nodes? What do we expect increasing scraping resolution to 15s affect our supported cluster...
@liggitt probably has a better idea about this than me.
The cardinality will increase drastically as a result of this though, that's something you may want to benchmark against before 'fixing' this.
