The hinted symbols are currently force rendered in [monospace](https://github.com/florisboard/florisboard/blob/8b4239d9bed76f1ef7db6a72d8b929597ebf7187/app/src/main/kotlin/dev/patrickgold/florisboard/ime/text/keyboard/TextKeyboardLayout.kt#L418). This should be easy to fix, but I have no insight as to why this was forced in the first place.
I cannot reproduce this behavior at the moment. Is it still present in the latest beta?
Is this occurring in v0.5.0-alpha04 or newer? We've updated the tool-tip dependency with that release.

How do you want to get from the word suggestions back to the actions in the smart bar?
Actions only is pretty much what you are searching for if you don't want to use suggestions. Inline autofill chips are visible regardless of the Layout.

Can be considered if there is native library in place. This will be the case when word suggestions are implemented.
The actual theme source files are the `*.json` files in the .flex file. (The theme extension file is just a .zip file with another name). Having the actual json files...
