Note - once https://github.com/wagtail/wagtail/pull/9993 is merged - this issue will be much easier to resolve.

Just a note that an old PR for this feature has been closed https://github.com/wagtail/wagtail/pull/5139 May still be worth looking at though if someone does want to contribute to this issue...
