Just set the proxy global option in Recon-ng and inspect there. You can curl through a proxy as well.
Based on another broken module I found today, I think I know what is causing this. This server is behind Cloudflare and Cloudflare is triggering on requests coming from Recon-ng....
Confirmed bug. The server is behind cloudflare which is flagging requests from Recon-ng as bot related. Probably watching for the custom Recon-ng User-Agent header.
The other thing is that many modules are very dynamic and behave differently for different seed input, so you would have to have a lot more than a single test...
