Sounds about right. Do you have fonts that fails without changing this? I’m rather surprised this didn’t surface before, if it is really an issue.
OK, I’ll see if I can make some test font to add to the test suite.
PR with a test font, or just a test font, would be helpful.
If I drop this check, the santized file will be invalid, so something else seems to be broken as well.

I agree, though it is a warning so the font is still accepted (the value is zeroed, but I don’t think browsers use it anyway).
