You run the risk of a flaky test failing twice, creating a false positive. And because you're assuming that it's not flaky, it will make it more confusing to resolve....

I've banned use of ngSwitch in our projects because not only does it not have type narrowing, there is zero type awareness in the case settings meaning any old thing...
Does anyone know how long roughly that RFC is going to take to be implemented? It still seems to be in early stages...

@jasonaden I think this issue has been going on for far too long, I've been around since the early ng1 days and this is a really ugly wart on this...
