@pieterhijma Are you envisioning that the variables themselves would be implemented as custom Properties of the `VarSet` objects? Or first class sub-objects?

I love the notion of FreeCAD objects having a sort of "API", by announcing what parameters they accept. However, I don't see what's gained by creating a new object type...

I am now able to connect to the device from my mac directly, I can give commands and see the responses... still, I can't get it to read any card...
