@repeatedly I'd be happy to rebase this, but do we really want it? do you think fpm still needs spec support?

is it possible for a file check to be ambiguous in that case? there being a `./foo` directory and a `foo` package? is that a concern?
@leegarrett do you think you could give a shot at implementing this? I'm not sure anyone else has the time right yet, but it sounds like a useful feature.
@bbbco did you want us to be able to merge this? It seems reasonable, but we can't unless you legally permit us to by using a DCO Signed-off-by.
