I'm trying to contact the developer since ubuntu 17.10 asking for an upgrade. Never answered. The ppa is active but prime-indicator-plus package must have been abandoned... Not a great behaviour,...

So what should one do to have a build for bionic in the PPA? Can't you put us in contact with the mantainer? He should be the guy behind webupd8...
