Possible work-around could be to use [grunt-gulp](https://www.npmjs.org/package/grunt-gulp) and [gulp-coffeelint](https://www.npmjs.org/package/gulp-coffeelint) (which does support custom rules).

What version of `node` are you running? You need to have `v4` or above.
