@caddac can you reopen this? This is still an issue (at least for us).

You can enable/disable the usb device using libusb1. It will only turn on/off cameras which are powered via usb though.

I will resolve the conflict. I also found why my tests for #167 failed. I will improve the test setup to make those easier to add.
