I don't know for sure whether the bug lies in fluxengine or g64conv, and so I arbitrarily filed a bug here first since I do have scp files that work...

This may need more work, I've found that it doesn't seem to append the error map when I expect it to.

Weird stuff starts happening when a str object has non-utf8 content. The original poster over in circuitpython found, for instance, that this value doesn't subscript right ... here, "notutf8.txt" contains...

Besides what others in this thread have learned, I found that the problem exists when using an up to date setuptools but does not occur when using the python3-setuptools package...

Is there an issue filed at ckeditor that we can use to track their progress on these problems?
