Do local files also not work in live preview or is it just online image embeds? I can reproduce the online issue, but local ones work fine for me.

There's no workaround that I know of, the one I linked is still open. If you know any, please share it, @saml-dev.

That plugin hasn't been updated for over 2.5 years and judging by its GitHub issues, not really functional.

I have no means to verify for my examples anymore, but apparently this has been solved in node-ignore.

You should try copying the .obsidian config folder (with the other plugins disabled) to a new vault. It might be the settings you mentioned, CSS snippets, or possibly some vault...

You can try installing Obsidian with a fresh installer, as old installs can have older Electron versions. Maybe reinstall it completely and delete appdata and localappdata. Beyond that I'm out...
