This is my attempt at an test, I wanted to check the contents on the file on the system. But I need some help to get that working.

This change fixed my issue on archlinux with redsocks and libevent 2.1. Works like a charm now

I've ran into this issue while giving the free trial a run. As suggested I have sent the logs to support.
