Working with page #/page size vs index/offset

I'm wondering if anyone has been able to make this module work using page #/page size API calls? The API i'm plugging into requires these instead of index & offset....

Using v0.7.0 I'm attempting to set the icons global, but it doesn't seem to be working. I'm sure I'm missing something stupid, but haven't found many examples to go by......
