Seems I misunderstood the spec. This is a python port of the javascript equivalent geojson-vt which states: > Resulting tiles conform to the JSON equivalent of the vector tile specification....

Note: This works when selecting the level first and then the excerpt. Probably a defect in the event listener code.

This is still not fixable today (2016-03-29). Need to wait for upstream fix.

Resolution possibility: Remove all hardcoded labels from js and use templetized divs or spans.
