Java has it's own SSL support. You don't need to use hxssl.
That's a mistake in the wording of the error in Haxe. The Java target is fairly new so it's missing some functionality. hxssl is only for c++ and neko targets.
Agreed. Major improvements have been made since then. I would if I could, but I do not have access to do haxelib release. Ping @tong

Mac 64 has been updated. All we need is Win32, and we can release.

Which platform are you getting certificate errors on? Seems to work fine on Linux.
