I did manage to get a key for the Philips Hue bridge. Also, I put together the following script which may be of interest to people using the hue motion...

I can confirm it seems possible to pull the data from the switches so this could be added to the script as could the status changes of lights.

Confirmed, editing the config file by hand and changing the comers to spaces and then restarting the service - solves this problem.

Is there a way to configure new windows to automatically start a terminal rather than showing the start up screen?  I have Tabby set to start a shell on...
