Issues regarding the fonts not showing up in the menu should be fixed with update 1.1 (make sure to install the fonts for all users if you still have trouble)....
@czorkol is this still an issue with the latest updated fonts? You'll need to add `ss09` to your settings to have all ligatures enabled.

This is because you're using the variable fonts, which VS Code doesn't fully support yet. If you install the static versions of the fonts instead, it should look as expected!

I'd recommend using the static Monaspace fonts in VS Code, as it doesn't fully support variable fonts yet. That should allow you to set the font weight as normal.
