The previous notification service worked well for a good time but started to get unstable. Maintaining the server and client code, as well as the sysadmin work is a hassle....
This would significantly reduce the app size.

VS Code now supports setting an icon name for the editor tab icon. It would be nice to show the `pr` icon instead of the generic text file one.
The "No projects" label could also use the inactive text colour.
