We do currently clear the back buffer on the QuotaExceededError, but it seems that Firefox's buffer smaller compared to Chrome, which means that some high bitrate video may not work...

Unfortunately, we currently only support VTT based captions in DASH, not those embedded in mp4.

Yup, vtt embedded in mp4 isn't supported. Direct vtt files are. TTML isn't supported either right now, unfortunately.

VHS 2.1 supports HEVC in fmp4 and will play it back if the browser supports it.

This is coming to Video.js 7 soon.

VHS 2.2.3 has shipped in Video.js 7.10 which supports HEVC if the browser supports it and if it is packaged in an mp4.
