I've seen this issue occur on several platforms. Another work around seems to be a right click. No need to select anything from the menu. Seems to somehow kick vimperator...
Yeah, it's a very bizarre issue.
Vimperator is dead only in as much as there isn't currently anyone to maintain it. If people use it on Pale Moon, that's awesome. Hopefully, someone steps up to maintain...
