I experienced similar error message when editing the title of an event with 1.0.7. I am not exactly sure how to reproduce, though.
OK here a suggestion where to have a field to import a calendar: 1. Either you add a little symbol to import a calendar next to the existing "plus button"...
Please correct the spelling: In english it should be "An event..." and not "A event".
