I believe we were still looking for input from @istio/wg-networking-maintainers .
We typically don't make changes in archives, although we can for for substantially incorrect changes. Also these releases have been EOL and not supported for a long time.

Can we just use something like `github_blob` which takes into account the currently built branch? Since this is in `api`, we could create another shortcode that use the `api` repo....
@carlo-zhang You still need to do a `make gen` to pick up the additional file changes (snippets).
