This is not unique to Rebar, it applies to all parameters in Revit which value is a family/type. Other examples of this are the rebar covers parameters of valid rebar...

The View name would become the IFC file name.

We use a custom ViewType parameter on the views and mark them with Export, to filter the list of available views. A search box would also be nice to find...

Changing I to T in the txt-file helped for me (in Revit 2024), even though the parameters was set on instance. Looks like a bug?

Yes! This is on top of the wish list in Norconsult as well. I have posted a similar issue here: https://github.com/Autodesk/revit-ifc/issues/67

You can override the name with a parameter IfcName. I'm not sure if it works for parts though.
