Parameter values for Rebar Hook and Rebar Shape - too much text

Open MagneGanz opened this issue 4 years ago • 5 comments

When exporting Rebars to IFC (both 2x3 and 4), you get unwanted text in the parameter value. This happens for:

  • Rebar Shape
  • Hook at start/end
  • Start/End Treatment

@AngelVelezSosa: Why do we get: Property Value "Rebar Shape: 51", when the Parameter Value is only "51" ?

I will find out.

This is not unique to Rebar, it applies to all parameters in Revit which value is a family/type. Other examples of this are the rebar covers parameters of valid rebar hosts like concrete beams. (see image) image

Preferably the default behavior should be changed from "family: type name" to "name". Now we get duplicate information and messy names! (the propery name in repeated in the property value).

Agreed - will file an item to change the behavior to use the name.
