Good points. `runBlocking` seems like the best solution here - easy to understand and no magic delay skipping under the hood.
I'm also experiencing this on the emulator. Even though the app has internet access (as indicated by the WiFi symbol in the top status bar) the warning is still displayed....
I'm able to repro this: - Load app in emulator - Verify that snackbar is _not_ shown - Disable mobile data only (not WiFi) by swiping down the quick settings...

@jdkoren Looks like we're missing the dependabot configuration to run `dependencyGuardBaseline` for automated updates. Also minor point, please don't force push as it messes up the commit and comment history.
I'm not sure that an extra run configuration is necessary here but I'll defer to the Compose team. @bentrengrove what do you think about this approach - is it overkill?
