Parsedown 1.7.5 with PHP 8.4/8.5 compatibility was released in the [parsedown/parsedown fork](https://github.com/parsedown/parsedown).

I have written to @erusev many times over the past 6 months to offer my help, but sadly I did not getting any response.

@bobvandevijver while I do not use the parsedown-extra extension myself, I have no objections to also fork that if necessary. That being said, while I certainly could manage repository administration...
