Every time I hit return, "Just start typing." reappears on the new line until I start typing again.

user never connects in IE<9

In older versions of IE the user sees 'user connected', but they're not really. It's probably not worth trying to support older versions of IE, but we should at least...

I can't copy and paste from the keyboard, because we're capturing the command/control keys.

It would be nice if you'd either update the stock prices, or make it pull from a datasource.

It would be nice to filter out nulls - that is, if a lat/long is null, just don't display it - rather than displaying it off the coast of Africa...
