So you need to index the messages in the `2005` maildir, say, 4 times until the indexing won't try them again? And are the messages present (searchable) after, say, 1...

Don't expect `mu` to evolve into a general document indexer. But perhaps it could be done, the multi-core indexing (1.6.x) would help here.
Sure, patch is welcome; probably best to create a new `defcustom` like `mu4e-compose-target` that takes a symbol, either `nil` (default behavior), `frame`, `other-window`.

Hmm, when I check that, I see e.g. what I think should be "Ingénieur de Recherche" but I get: "Ing�nieur de Recherche" with the "�" literally the UTF-8 replacement characters...
Yeah, as much as we try, their are still some holdouts that do not use mu4e yet. But, the message you attached contains literal "�" and those are rendered "correctly"....
