@jrson83 How did you manage to embed the amazon payment script for example which is loaded when you open the shop? And what about the default statistics und marketing cookies?

You could fire a refresh with jquery when someone clicks on save.

I've noticed this bug too and I can confirm copying the template . files from rwd/configurableswatches to base/configurableswatches will solve this issue.

@fballiano When you edit a simple product in a configurable product a pop up opens as well ;)
