Agreed. `Buffer` has many issues outlined here: https://sindresorhus.com/blog/goodbye-nodejs-buffer This library should allow `Uint8Array` as well as `Buffer` in-order for this to be usable in more places.
Great idea, feel free to make a PR for this whenever @jtfirek . It will be good to be confident our helpers are doing what we think so that one...
