FWIW I just tested 3.3.1 on M1 macOS 11.2.1 and it works fine. It's not native, but the app runs and makes sound.
Any chance of finishing this feature? I was looking for it today.
Legacy python is legacy. The existing code should suffice for anybody who needs to run 2.x. I say go with 3.x only.

This seems fine to me. In regards to @pgvishnuram's last comment, there are other places where customers can misconfigure our app, so opening this up to the potential for misconfiguration...
