Seeing as that the edit boxes are quite small, it would improve usability if the mouse selection didn't disappear when leaving the edit box.
Many people feel uneasy without a save button. Having a visual cue that says "Autosaving..." or "Saved" somewhere will go a long way to put them at ease.
