It's left justified text as per the design spec, with a fixed-width background. 

Maybe the overlay should depend on the width of the text? I notice Twitter does this.

The issue is that the forks count includes private forks. Should it? Maybe it should only show the number of public forks? I wonder what GitHub does... If it shows...
