Sorry for abandoning this PR, wanted to get back to it earlier, but I saw that the FAT12/16 PR was going to get merged which would break this PR anyways....
Yeah, if SwiftPM was able to generate CMake build configurations automatically that would be a way better solution, as it would remove the need to maintain two build systems across...
Just pointing out that fftw3 is GPL-2.0 licensed so I'm not sure that it's viable for use in here as the Distribution preset uses static libraries which might cause license...
Fwiw it's gonna break Android and FreeBSD builds, but I'm not sure how much that matters

@ayeteadoe I tried getting the build of dawn working on my FreeBSD VM with no luck, the GN build would require way too much patching for me to do right...
Just wanted to note that I've gotten the dawn port to build using GN on FreeBSD, tho I'm gonna submit the patches after this PR and the vcpkg PR get...
@ayeteadoe I have submitted a vcpkg PR to fix Dawn on FreeBSD, once this gets merged it will most probably break it temporarily but that's fine by me.
FWIW, if you'd wish to do this in this PR there's a 140#2 on upstream as I've made some changes to the port, although after that update it might make...
I found so more issues with the build on OpenBSD which led me to disabling shared libraries on that platform all together. It makes everything much simpler and work much...
