is 2.1 or 3.0 the latest stable official version? the github releases still mark 2.1 as the latest, should 3.0 be considered "beta"? thanks!

if you download and select version 2.5.1 in the Finder, it still claims to be version 2.5 (in QuickLook, ColumnView and GetInfo)
