in general, we'll want to redirect many of these rather than removing (as with https://github.com/plotly/documentation/issues/1174).
@laurenfamiglietti it would be helpful to get the safari version where this is not working. It seems to be working in safari on iphone/mac
@chriddyp do you have the specific tutorial this is referring to? I think this user may actually be referring to the plotly.py version in each notebook.
@priyatharsan instead of printing the version the version check should be:  to avoid any python 2 vs 3 confusion.
@nicolaskruchten in this context I guess so since it seems to confuse some users and is not necessary to display the version.
we can use that for necessary print statements throughout other docs but since most pages call `plotly.__verison__` at this point anyway I think it will be easier to move toward...
good idea, we can have a text formatting page and link that on the general scatter text / hovertext / axes formatting pages as well.
