If this is implemented, it should definitely use [ueberzug](https://github.com/seebye/ueberzug) in my opinion. It would probably be complicated, though. For now, as a workaround, there should be a hotkey to open...

Can replicate also on Arch linux. API works fine, so this is likely an issue with the UI.

Thanks for the feedback. I reverted to the original approach with the latest commit, added `battery_scrollup_command` and `battery_scrolldown_command` options, and took @ammen99's original suggestion of running commands every 3 steps...

I like the behavior of the volume widget. Ideally this would just replicate that but for brightness instead of volume.
