It should work with the latest prerelease version. Give that a try and let me know.

Looks like libgit2 1.4.x has introduced some changes that we'll need to react to. Lots of test failures!

I don't have an ETA for you, but it is something I want to get working when I've got some free time to research/test the new distros that we need...
