Do not know when this started happening, but sub-menus that are longer than the screen height do not have scroll buttons anymore and so it is impossible to select items...

remove compiler warnings

This change removes compiler warnings when compiling the package with gcc 5.2.0, some that keep the package from compilling. Package will compile now with '-Wall -Werror'.
