We think this has rotted enough that we should just close it. We're not convinced it improves things, and it has no tests and many conflicts.

I agree with all @Johennes said above, and I would further comment that the problems with length and reporting of reactions **already exist** in Element because we already **display** free-form...

@Gnuxie is this abandoned? Will close if so.
