What do you have in mind? Setting it right after clicking or setting it manually? Or even customize the position as default position?

I think I know what you mean and I think I have fixed this in the dev branch (https://github.com/andre-r/centered-cursor-mode.el/tree/dev). I you try it, know that customization (variables) names have changed...

An important reason for the mode is to have more context around the cursor. Therefore it's only right to not center at the end of the file, just like it...
